2D + 3D
2D + 3D Animation
Sometimes it starts with a solid. Sometimes text. Sometimes a shape layer. However it begins, it's the result that matters.
If being addicted to motion graphic design is wrong, I don't wanna be right. I dream in colorfully filled shape layers about bezier keyframes, adjustment layers, null objects, and balanced designs. I'm obsessed with keyboard shortcuts and make it a point to uncover at least one hidden gem in After Effects every week.
Animation is particularly enjoyable because there are literally no limits to what can be done. Characters come in every shape, color, and form. Their environments are limited only by the imagination. Little gets my engines revving more than a blank slate and an eager client.
Third party plug-ins play quite the role in the creation of my designs, with After Effects as the primary tool. Using Optical Flares, Element 3D, Trapcode Particular, and other AE-specific plug-ins along with scripts and expressions, I can do just about anything.
